Drain Repairs

Drainage problems aren't always caused by a simple blockage. Damage to underground pipework can cause recurring blockages, poor flow, leaks, subsidence and other drainage problems.

Common causes of damaged drains include:

• Tree root ingress
• Cracked or fractured pipework
• Displaced or failed joints
• Collapsed or damaged drains
• Ground movement and subsidence
• Poorly installed drainage

Where damage is suspected, a CCTV drain survey can help identify the location and condition of the affected pipework. We can then advise whether the drain can be repaired using lining or whether excavation and replacement is the more suitable option.

Drain Lining

Drain Lining & No-Dig Repairs

Drain lining can provide a no-dig solution for repairing certain damaged drains without the need for a full excavation. A resin-impregnated liner is installed inside the existing pipework and cured in place, creating a strong new lining within the damaged drain.

Drain lining can be particularly useful where excavation would be difficult or disruptive, such as beneath driveways, patios, landscaped areas or buildings.

Not every damaged drain is suitable for lining. We assess the condition of the pipework first and recommend lining only where it provides an appropriate repair. Where a drain has collapsed, badly displaced or lost its correct fall, excavation and pipe replacement may be required instead.
